For nearly 20 years, Arbour Counseling Services has offered a clinical program designed to provide behavioral health services to students. This program is administered within the school setting during school hours by Arbour therapists working closely with designated school staff. The services are provided to pre-school through 12th grade students in school systems within the catchment areas of the Arbour Counseling Services sites, all located in eastern Massachusetts. Students may be referred for evaluation by their parents, teachers, guidance counselors, or by the Department of Child and Families.
Program components include psychological, neuropsychological and educational testing and evaluations; individual and group therapy, including specialized groups; on-going consultations with parents and school personnel and clinical consultation to teachers, aides, school psychologists, and guidance counselors. Arbour Counseling Services also offers in-service training to administrators, teachers, special needs staff and support personnel on topics requested by school staff.
