Admissions

Arbour Health System’s centralized ACCES Department is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Referral sources, patients and family members are provided immediate assistance with scheduling level of care evaluations, inpatient or PHP/IOP admissions, or referral to community resources based upon clinical need.

Referrals can be made to the ACCES Department by calling 800-22-ACCES (22-22237) or 617-390-1320.

The ACCES Department is responsible for scheduling admissions or evaluations for the following facilities inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs:

Arbour Hospital, Boston
Arbour-Fuller Hospital, South Attleboro
Arbour-HRI Hospital, Brookline
Lowell Treatment Center
The Boston Center
Pembroke Hospital
Westwood Lodge

In addition, PHP/IOP level of care evaluations or pre-authorized admissions may be able to be scheduled for the following:

Arbour Counseling Services, Fall River, Adult PHP/IOP Program
Arbour Counseling Services, Haverhill, Adult PHP/IOP Program
Arbour Counseling Services, Lawrence, Latino Adult PHP/IOP Program
Arbour Counseling Services, Rockland, Adult PHP/IOP Program
Arbour Counseling Services, Woburn, Adult PHP/IOP Program

Arbour Health System has contracts with most insurance and managed care companies including Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Blue Cross,  BMC HealthNet, Cigna,  Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership, Neighborhood Health Plan, Network Health, Tufts Health Plan, TriCare, United Behavioral Health, and most other insurance providers. The ACCES Department staff can provide information regarding each site’s status as a provider for the applicable insurance plan.
