Arbour-HRI Hospital is currently seeking a Medical Director to oversee the daily medical operations for all clinical programs.
The Medical Director job responsibilities will include:

  • Serves as Clinical Leader with oversight of 6 Attending Psychiatrists including provision of medical consultations, compliance with clinical practice and administrative standards including for TJC accreditation and DMH licensing.
  • Supervises the medical staff in order to ensure the effective integration and quality of clinical programs.  Provides oversight for the doctors-on-call (DOCs) for the hospital as well as medical consultants.
  • Monitors and facilitates the improvement of the practice of psychiatry and assures compliance with hospital policies and procedures.  Implements best practices, working in concert with other members of the Arbour-HRI administrative and clinical team.
  • Chair the Medical Executive Committee and participates on others including Quality Improvement/Risk Management, Pharmacy and Therapeutics.
  • Assists in planning new programs with special emphasis on medical and /or psychiatry aspects.
  • Maintains a reasonable caseload of patients daily.  Base compensation can be augmented with additional cases.
  • No evening or weekend call required.

Preferred candidates for this job will have medical director experience and three years’ post-residency training. MD is required with current Massachusetts license.
