Older Adult Services

Arbour Health System offers a full continuum of mental health services to older adults, whether in the hospital, in the community, or in extended care facilities.

 

Inpatient Treatment 

Our inpatient programs offer rapid assessment and focused intervention in a short-term inpatient setting. Patients who can benefit are those with major mental illness, dementia, or acute changes in behavior or cognition that require evaluation and/or stabilization. Our multi-disciplinary team provides the clinical expertise to ensure that assessment, treatment, and discharge planning objectives are uniformly achieved. Arbour Health System offers inpatient programs at Pembroke Hospital.

 

 

Outpatient Services

Arbour Health System offers outpatient geropsychiatry services through Arbour Counseling Services, with 11 locations throughout eastern Massachusetts. A highly skilled and experienced multi-disciplinary staff provides the essential evaluation and treatment needed to maintain older adults within their communities and homes.

 

Behavioral Management Services to Extended Care Facilities

Arbour Health System provides a range of clinical services to nursing homes, rest homes, and assisted living facilities through Arbour SeniorCare. For more information, please call (781) 871-6550 or (800) 535-5526.

 

 

For assistance or admission options 24 hours a day, seven days a week, please call the ACCES Center at (800) 22-ACCES (222-2237).  Your call will be answered by an intake coordinator who will ask you a few questions in order to determine what is most appropriate for your circumstances.
