Latino ServicesThe Latino Partial Hospitalization Programs at Arbour Hospital and Arbour Counseling Services - Lawrence offer intensive, short-term treatment for Latino adults with psychiatric or dual diagnosis disorders. Psychotherapy and psychoeducation groups are all conducted in Spanish, and the program is staffed by bilingual and bicultural clinicians and doctors who can address cultural and societal issues within the context of treatment. Goals of the program are: to assure consistency with patients’ cultural and linguistic needs, to provide psychoeducation and help patients develop effective coping skills, and to offer an effective alternative to, or step down from, inpatient hospitalization. Treatment components include individual, group and family therapy; a brief treatment model with no required length of stay; medication evaluation and monitoring; and coordination with outside referral sources at all stages of treatment. Bilingual and bicultural outpatient therapy is also available at select Arbour Counseling Services sites throughout eastern Massachusetts. Arbour Hospital's Latino Partial Hospitalization Program is now located at 500 Amory Street in Jamaica Plain, MA, adjacent to ACS, Boston. For assistance or admission options 24 hours a day, seven days a week, please call the ACCES Center at (800) 22-ACCES (222-2237). Your call will be answered by an intake coordinator who will ask you a few questions in order to determine what is most appropriate for your circumstances. |
