Last month, Arbour Counseling Services (ACS), Jamaica Plain received its provisional license from the Department of Public Health Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS) that allows the outpatient center to provide additional substance abuse services for patients suffering from addictions.

BSAS approval is required for programs that provide primary substance abuse services and are promoted as offering addictions treatment. ACS, Jamaica Plain can now develop and promote levels of care for addictions and plans to implement a Structured Outpatient Addictions Program for adults in the near future, according to Site Director Brian Murphy. Outpatient Suboxone Maintenance services are also offered at the Jamaica Plain site.

Other Arbour Counseling Services sites that are BSAS licensed for outpatient services include Allston, Malden, Norwell, and Woburn.
