Continued growth has prompted Arbour Counseling Services, Rockland to move to a larger location in the neighboring South Shore town of Norwell. With the move comes a related name change for the site, which is Arbour Counseling Services, Norwell.

Located about three miles from its previous Rockland offices, the new 6,600-square-foot stand alone building will house outpatient services, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), substance abuse intensive outpatient programs, outpatient Suboxone program, and Arbour SeniorCare administrative offices. The new building includes more office space, larger group rooms and ample parking.

“We’re growing, and have been consistently expanding. We had 380 clients in 2008 and have now grown to more than 800,” explained Mike Gaudet, LICSW, LCDP, site director.

The new space will also help propel future growth. At the end of September, the facility received renewal of its substance abuse license from the Department of Public Health. Along with receiving approval for its existing substance abuse programs, the facility was also approved to provide services for adolescents and pregnant women, as well as those with second offender DUI violations. “We’re really excited about this approval and hope to expand our services for substance abuse patients,” Gaudet said.
