Arbour Hospital recently completed a four-month construction project aimed at improving the patient flow of the hospital and unit configuration.

The two-phase project included a new front ambulance entrance, a revamped evaluation services wing and a new lobby. The project also consists of building a new Adolescent Unit and ECT suite.

“The new ambulance entrance creates a space for patients to be admitted and triaged in a private, respectful way rather than having to go through the lobby,” explained Noreen Gaspar, Director of Inpatient Services.

In addition to the construction project, Arbour Hospital is beginning to move into its new outpatient building located at 157 Green St. in Jamaica Plain. Arbour’s Psychiatric and Latino PHP programs were the first to move in at the end of October. The new building allows Arbour Hospital to grow its outpatient center from 12 to 30 offices.
