Two new staff members recently joined Arbour Hospital’s Latino Partial Hospitalization Program (LPHP) at 500 Amory St. in Jamaica Plain.
Anmir Agresar, MD, is the new psychiatrist and Jamie Francisco Matorras (Francisco) is the new mental health clinician for the program. Dr. Agresar received her medical degree at Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and recently completed her residency at Tufts Medical Center. She started at Arbour’s LPHP last month and is thrilled to be working with the Latino community. “I really wanted to work with this population because I understand the culture and know that often they are not very well understood,” she explained.
Mr. Matorras joined Arbour’s LPHP in July and received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology from the Universidad of Buenos Aires in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has an extensive network within the Latino community and a wealth of clinical experience, most recently working for the Latin American Health Institute.“I am excited to help Latino adults in crisis and to continue to promote and grow the LPHP,” Matorras said.
