In December 2009, Arbour Hospital’s psychiatric partial hospitalization program (PHP) relocated to 500 Amory Street in Jamaica Plain. The new location will be in the same complex Arbour Counseling Services, Boston.

The new space provides more space for clinicians’ offices and group rooms and has a larger waiting area. The space has a more therapeutic atmosphere as well, due to furniture, lighting and paint choices.

“The layout is much better,” noted Psychiatric PHP Director David Malecki. “We feel the new space will be a boost to our program.”

The new location continues to be accessible by public transportation and will be adjacent to the Orange Line, Green Street Station. The new space will allow for other program development in the future including the potential relocation of the Latino PHP.
