Partial HospitalizationAll Arbour Health System hospitals offer partial hospitalization for patients as part of the treatment continuum. These programs offer a safe, structured environment while enabling the patient to return home at night and maintain important family and community relationships. Partial hospitalization may be appropriate for patients making the transition from inpatient to outpatient treatment, or as a program alternative for patients who do not present any danger to themselves or others, but need a structured treatment plan and environment. Family and support person involvement is a crucial part of the treatment process; since the patient returns home each night it is important that family members and support persons are involved in the therapeutic process. The following is a list of the partial hospitalization programs available throughout Arbour Health System:
Adult Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program Arbour Hospital, Arbour-Fuller Hospital, Arbour-HRI Hospital, Pembroke Hospital, Westwood Lodge, Lowell Treatment Center, and Arbour Counseling Services (Fall River, Haverhill, Rockland, and Woburn sites)

For assistance or admission options twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, please call the ACCES Center at (800) 22-ACCES (222-2237). Your call will be answered by an intake coordinator who will ask you a few questions in order to determine what is most appropriate for your circumstances.
To refer a patient to partial hospitalization, you may obtain prior approval from the patient’s insurance company before contacting the ACCES Center, or we can do an on-site evaluation and contact the insurance company with information needed for authorization.
