Suboxone Treatment
Arbour Counseling Services – Allston is offering an outpatient
Suboxone treatment program called “Supportive Recovery Services.”
Suboxone treatment can help avoid many of the physical symptoms of
opioid withdrawal. The aim of the program is to combine medical Suboxone
for opioid dependency with individual counseling and group counseling.
Participants must have a co-occurring psychiatric and addictions
disorders.
The treatment is highly structured and conducted under the supervision
of a certified physician. Prior to treatment, clients must undergo an
intake screening which would include a full psychosocial assessment and
a comprehensive substance abuse history. If a patient is appropriate for
the program, they will sign a detailed treatment contract that clearly
spells out the elements and expectations of their treatment.
Once patients are taking Suboxone and have been stable for a time,
Suboxone will be gradually tapered off in a structured environment.
Treatment is expected to last between 12-18 months.
